Dear Big Momma,
A friend of a friend has expressed some interest in dating me. He seems like a nice guy who I would enjoy hanging out with, but I am not attracted to him at all. Should I agree to meet him under the condition that we do so strictly as friends? Or, is it best to not see him at all? I don't want to give him any false hope that I am interested romantically when I definitely am not.
Dear Just Friends,
That is a tricky one. Big Mamma has always believed you can’t have enough friends. But, if you are not romantically interested in this person, meeting them is probably not a good idea. Even though you have expressed there is no romantic feelings….and only friendship…this person may still believe that once you meet them you might change your mind and this could bring false hope. If you are looking to add another friend into your life, you could always invite this person to a group setting with several other friends. Good Luck!
